Linux-tan

CANON

Linux-tan is the personification of Linux as a whole, already named on the Vault by October 2004 and kept on OSC's canon list with Linspire/Lindows. Unlike Me-tan, she does not have one frozen outfit across all English sources.

Wikipedia's most copied look is Tux-derived: hime-cut hair, penguin-bill helmet, GNU horns, gear teeth, spear with bootloader ribbons, KDE/GNOME marks on clothes. That is a later composite, useful as a description, not a 2003 Vault screenshot. Juzo-kun's distro wallpapers are the usual English-language expansion pack: Debian, Ubuntu, Arch, and friends as their own girls rather than hats on Linux-tan.

Tux the penguin remains Linux's official mascot. Linux-tan is fan gijinka. Do not file them as the same character.
