XP-tanCANONXP-tan (Saseko) personifies Windows XP Professional: the memory-hog sister, designed by XP Kaki-Aki / Nac.
HomekoCANONHomeko personifies Windows XP Home Edition: green-haired twin of XP-tan, not a reskin of Saseko.
2K-tanCANON2K-tan personifies Windows 2000: glasses, mechanical cat-ear clips, the reliable sister and Me-tan's guardian.
95-tanCANON95-tan is Windows 95 as a Yamato nadeshiko in a hana256 kimono: won the 1990s PC war, does not understand USB.
98-tanCANON98-tan (Hacchan) is Windows 98 first edition: shy, navy bob, golden 98 clip, sometimes a snack-box mech.
98SE-tanCANON98SE-tan (Secchan) is Windows 98 Second Edition: aggressive sailor-fuku sister with a can opener.

Windows 3.1-tanCANON3.1-tan (Ōbaba) is a gothic Windows 3.1 girl, often with DOS-nuko the cat, nicknamed Grandma.
MS-DOS-tanCANONMS-DOS-tan is a shy schoolgirl with DOS-shaped hair ties, already on the October 2003 Vault list.
CE-tanFANCE-tan personifies Windows CE. On the 2004 Vault list; often a Dreamcast fan because CE code lived in that BIOS.
2003 Server-tanCANON2003 Server-tan (Saba-tan) is on OSC's canon Windows list and the 2004 Vault roster as Saba.
Vista-tanDISPUTEDThere is no single Vista-tan. Chiivistan is the best-known look; Vistake is a Futaba rival; OSC never froze canon.
Battenichi-chanFANBattenichi-chan is Shimuro's Windows 8.1 OS-tan. The name is a reading of 8.1. She is not Yū or Ai Madobe.
Linux-tanCANONLinux-tan is on the 2004 Vault and OSC canon lists. Distro-tans (Debian, Ubuntu, Arch) are usually later separate designs.
Mac-tanFANMac-tan is at least two casts: Futaba's generic Mac rival of 95-tan, and +Nijiura+'s OS X catgirls named after big cats.
Dr. NortonFANDr. Norton is the Vault-era antivirus personification: a creepy doctor, already listed in October 2003.
Nanami MadobeCORPNanami Madobe is the 2009 Windows 7 Ultimate DSP mascot, voiced by Nana Mizuki. CORP, not Futaba's Seven-chan.
Yū MadobeCORPYū Madobe is the short-haired Windows 8 Pro DSP twin, voiced by Asuka Nishi. CORP, not Battenichi-chan.
Ai MadobeCORPAi Madobe is the long-haired Windows 8 Pro DSP twin, voiced by Nao Tamura.
