98-tan

CANON

98-tan, often Hacchan, is Windows 98 (first edition). Shy, smaller stature, navy bob, golden '98' hairclip, sleeveless white shirt and blue skirt. She is not 98SE-tan. OSC treats them as separate canon characters.

Before the girl design settled, 98 and 98SE were sometimes stick-figure or snack-box mechs inspired by Vulcan 300 from Zatch Bell!. Those boxes remain as vehicles or holdovers. Wikipedia gives her a 'dark history notebook' as a personality prop. Pair art with Secchan is the default family photo.
