Nanami Madobe

Nanami Madobe (窓辺ななみ) is the moe mascot created for Japanese Windows 7 Ultimate DSP editions. Designer Wakaba. Voice: Nana Mizuki. Name: 窓辺 'by the window' + ななみ playing on nana / seven. Wikipedia calls her the first OS-tan marketed with the OS itself. This wiki calls her the first CORP girl sold next to Windows — and keeps Seven-chan in the FAN folder.

Akiba-PC reported the 7,777-copy preorder bundle (wallpapers, event sounds) on 24 September 2009; a Twitter account existed from 14 September. Premium vs digest themes, extra CDs, a Touch Mouse Artist Edition, and a later TV commercial / 'Seven Color Generator' are the campaign surface. Profile: 17 at launch, lives in Chiyoda, extended family of 16.

She outlived Windows 7's launch. Windows 8-era events still used her beside Yū and Ai. Comiket 83–87. Windows 7 end-of-support 'graduation' in Japan ran December 2019–14 January 2020 with Tōko. That is a very long mascot life for a DSP extra.
